The Magic of Christmas with Santa: A Private Santa Experience in Milton, GA

There’s a moment every year that gets me every time. Your child rounds the corner, sees Santa sitting right there, and their whole face changes. Some kids light up like it’s Christmas morning already. Some freeze in place, wide-eyed, not totally sure what to make of the guy in red. Some burst into tears and cling to your leg. Whatever happens in that split second, it’s real, and it’s the kind of thing you want to be standing close enough to actually see, not craning your neck from the back of a mall line.

That’s what this event is really about. Yes, there are beautiful photos. But more than that, it’s a chance for you to be right there for it, watching your kid experience something that only feels magical for a few short years. This is as much for you as it is for them.

I come by my love of Christmas honestly. My Poppy always went all out for Christmas, and for years he’d bring us Christmas trees down from Wisconsin, where he used to sell them, always the biggest, fullest, most beautiful trees you’ve ever seen. That’s the kind of magic I grew up with, and it’s the kind of magic I want to help create for your family. Getting to kick off the Christmas season for families with a brand new tradition like this one is genuinely my favorite part of the year.

This will be my 4th year hosting The Magic of Christmas with Santa, and this year it’s moving to a beautiful new setting in Milton, GA. No lines, no rushing, just real, unhurried time with Santa for your family.

Last year, 60 families joined us, and it sold out by September. We’re already a third booked for this year. If this is even a maybe for you, I’d grab your spot sooner rather than later. Reserve your slot here →

Here’s What Makes This Different

I wanted this to feel like an actual experience, not just a photo op, for you as much as for your kids. Here’s what that looks like.

It starts with a letter in the mail. Every family gets a personalized letter from Santa, addressed with your kids’ names, plus a keepsake invitation. This is usually the first “wait, is Santa REAL?!” moment of the season, and honestly, it might be my favorite part.

“The look on Mason’s face when we were reading the letter from Santa was worth the world and everything in it. I have never seen it before. Thank you 🙏”

Your own private time with Santa. While other families may be enjoying the winter wonderland activities before or after their own turn, your time with Santa himself is completely private, just your family, with no one else in the room.

A whole winter wonderland to play in before your turn. When you arrive, the kids get to explore:

  • A craft and coloring area
  • The Nice List, hung on the wall with your kids’ names on it
  • A reindeer food making station
  • A gourmet s’mores and seasonal treats bar (working with a local vendor for this one!)

This part matters more than people expect. Kids get to warm up, have fun, and settle in before they’re asked to sit on a stranger’s lap and smile, alongside a few other families also enjoying the property that day. No forced photos of a kid who just got pulled straight out of a car seat.

Up to 7 unhurried minutes with Santa. Time for photos, sure, but also time for whatever your kid’s reaction actually is, whether that’s dancing and chatting his ear off or standing there stunned, working up the courage to get closer. If your kid tends to be wary of Santa, I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve for easing into it, and in almost every case, we get a great photo before the tears start. You’re right there for all of it, not watching from behind a velvet rope.

A gift to take home. Every child leaves with a beautifully packaged, personalized keepsake gift. Last year’s included locally sourced treats and a few sweet, handmade touches, each one personalized with your child’s name.

And, of course, gorgeous images. High-quality, beautifully styled photos of your family with Santa, with the option to add keepsakes, gifts, and custom Christmas cards.

Do you have to wait in line for Santa pictures? Not at this event. Families book a scheduled time slot, and your time with Santa himself is completely private, just your family, with no line and no other families in the room. Other families may be enjoying the winter wonderland activities before or after their own turn, but your Santa time is one-on-one.

How much does a private Santa photo session cost in Atlanta? Packages start at $365 + tax, which includes 5 images plus the full experience. An upgraded package at booking is $450 + tax and includes the full gallery plus 25 custom Christmas cards. The gallery can also be added after your session for $125 + tax.

What dates is the Santa event in Milton, GA? This year’s event is Saturday, November 14, and Sunday, November 15, 2026.

How much time do you get with Santa? Up to 7 minutes per family. That’s enough time for photos, conversation, and play, not just a rushed photo.

Is this a shared event with other families? Your time with Santa is completely private, just your family. Other families may be at the winter wonderland activities (crafts, treats bar, reindeer food station) before or after their own Santa time, but no one shares your actual session with Santa.

How far in advance should I book Santa photos? As early as possible. Spots have filled up by September the last two years, so families who book earliest also get the widest choice of time slots, especially those popular morning slots for littles.

What age is best for a Santa photo experience? This private, unhurried format tends to work especially well for younger kids or children who need a little extra time to warm up, since there’s no rushing and no line of strangers watching. That said, this isn’t just for little ones. I have families join with kids well into elementary and middle school, since it makes for a fun family tradition and keepsake photo no matter how old the kids are. Families with babies through middle schoolers are all welcome.

My kid is scared of Santa. Will they still get a good photo? This is one of the biggest reasons families choose a private setting over a mall line. If your little one is hesitant, I have a few tricks up my sleeve, from how we ease into the introduction to little ways I keep things light and playful, and in almost every case, we’re able to get a great photo before any tears start. There’s no audience and no pressure watching, so even within our scheduled time, we can ease in at your child’s pace instead of rushing straight for a photo.

What should we wear to our Santa session? No need to stress over outfits. In the weeks leading up to your session, I send every family a Santa prep guide with styling guidance and clickable links so you can shop the look directly. It takes the guesswork out of coordinating everyone.

Can we get a family photo with Santa, not just the kids? Yes, of course! I typically start with the kids and Santa, then end with the whole family together. For kids who are especially nervous, I’ll sometimes start with a parent in the photo to help them feel more comfortable before easing into solo shots. Your 7 minutes are yours to use, so while I have a general flow, I’m always happy to work around what your family is hoping for.
